Our History
Wenzhou Liao Fasteners Co., Ltd. (formerly the Ruian Liao Fastener Factory, established in early 1982) is a corporate member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Fasteners. Following several rounds of restructuring and reform-evolving successively into the Wenzhou Liao Fastener Factory, the Wenzhou Ouhai Liao Shengtai Fastener Factory, and finally assuming its current corporate structure through a systemic reform in 2004-the company stands today as a specialized fastener manufacturer integrating production, R&D, and sales.
The company's predecessor, the Ruian Liao Fastener Factory, was founded by Zheng Shenghua in 1982. Emerging against the backdrop of Wenzhou's rapidly developing private economy, the enterprise initially lacked specialized equipment. Zheng Shenghua led his apprentices in crafting molds by hand-independently researching and developing tooling, manufacturing their own machinery, and forging their own sales channels. Their products quickly became "bestsellers" in Wenzhou's Kanglefang Fastener Market, with merchants frequently lining up with cash in hand to place orders. In 1984, in recognition of the enterprise's operational success, Zheng Shenghua was granted an audience with Comrade Deng Xiaoping during the latter's inspection tour of Wenzhou.
In 1993, Zheng Le-who had left high school early-succeeded his father in the family business. Under his father's guidance, he delved deeply into technical R&D, quickly developing a stainless steel semi-tubular rivet that filled a significant gap in the domestic market at the time. Initially, with a daily output of just 3,000 to 5,000 units, the product was so highly sought after that customers vied with one another to place orders. Following improvements in equipment and technology, daily output soared to 80,000 units, and daily revenue reached the "ten-thousand-yuan mark"-a feat that established a legendary success story within Wenzhou's fastener market.
Today, the enterprise operates under the name Wenzhou Liao Fasteners Co., Ltd., maintaining a factory environment characterized by a low-profile, pragmatic ethos. General Manager Zheng Le serves concurrently as the Executive Vice President of the Yueqing Fastener Industry Association and as a corporate member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Fasteners. The company remains steadfastly focused on its core business of rivet manufacturing, having established a mature and robust system for both production and R&D.
